This past weekend, the Lone Star Throwdown (LST) roared into Conroe, Texas, from February 21-23, 2025, at the Lone Star Expo Center and Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Celebrated as one of the premier custom car and truck shows in the nation, LST showcased 2,000 meticulously crafted vehicles, drawing enthusiasts from across the country. The event featured a diverse array of custom builds, from classic cars to lifted and lowered trucks, offering attendees an immersive experience into automotive artistry. Beyond the impressive vehicle displays, the show included numerous vendors, live demonstrations, and opportunities for enthusiasts to connect and share their passion.
Ensuring the safety and security of such a large gathering was paramount. In collaboration with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Birdseye Surveillance played a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment throughout the event. Our advanced, self-contained surveillance systems were strategically positioned across the fairgrounds, providing real-time monitoring and rapid response capabilities. Equipped with features like human and vehicle detection, two-way communication, and motion-sensing alarms, our units served as a deterrent to potential misconduct and facilitated swift intervention when necessary.
The partnership between Birdseye Surveillance and local law enforcement was instrumental in addressing challenges that arose during the event. Despite the festive atmosphere, there were instances of unauthorized activities, including street racing and parking lot takeovers. Our surveillance systems provided critical support in these situations, enabling law enforcement to monitor and respond effectively. Over the weekend, the collaborative efforts led to 59 arrests and the seizure of 41 vehicles involved in illegal activities. This proactive approach underscored our shared commitment to community safety and the successful execution of large-scale events.
